Have you ever had a song that doesn’t seem to leave you? One that entwines itself into your soul, wakes up with you in the morning, and sets a beat to your footsteps during your day?

For two weeks I have walked in step to Faithful, Faithful by Hezekiah Walker after attending an amazing Gospel concert that my daughter was in at her school. The song has not left me.

Was it seeing my baby girl for the first time, radiating confidence in a city 800 miles from where we ever thought we’d be, singing and having a great time? Yes.

That’s grace.

Was it the beautiful display of diversity, cultures and backgrounds all joined in unity as the Church (big C)? Yes.

That’s grace.

But most of all, it was a simple reminder through the words of a song, never heard before, that no matter the circumstance, outcome, feeling or even reaction that falls far short of Glory, that yes, He is faithful.

That is surely grace.

Therefore I pray:

I am reaping the harvest God promised me,
Take back what the devil stole from me
And rejoice in Him, for I shall recover it all.
Yes I rejoice in Him, for I shall recover it all.

Take back what the enemy stole from you. It’s all grace.
